I read this and it kinda reminded me of a lot of people that I know...including me...I know it is long but it is worth reading.
This is my tribute to the nice girls. To the nice girls who are overlooked, who become friends and nothing more, who spend hours fixating upon their looks and their personalities and their actions because it must be that they are doing something wrong. This is for the girls who don’t give it up on the first date, who don’t want to play mind games, who provide a comforting hug. This is for the girls who understand that they aren't perfect and that the guys they're interested in aren't either, for the girls who flirt and laugh and worry and obsess over the slightest glance, whisper, touch, because somehow they are able to keep alive that hope that maybe...maybe this time he'll have understood. This is homage to the girls who laugh loud and often, who are comfortable in skirts and sweats and combat boots, who care more than they should for guys who don't deserve their attention. This is for those girls who have been in the trenches, who have watched other girls time and time again fake up and make up and f' up the guys in their lives without saying a word. This is for the girls who have been there from the beginning and have heard the trite words of advice, from “there’s plenty of fish in the sea" to "time heals all wounds" To honor those girls who know that guys are just as scared as they are, who know that they deserve better, who are seeking to find it. This is for the girls who know love is an experience that they don't want to miss out on. For the girls who have sought a night with friends and been greeted by a night of catcalling, rude comments and explicit invitations that they'd rather not have experienced. This is for the girls who have left sad song lyrics in their away messages, who have tried to make someone understand through a subliminally appealing profile, who have time and time again dropped their male friend hint after hint after hint only to watch him chase after the first blonde girl in a skirt (or Khakis). This is for the girls who have been told that they're too good or too smart or too pretty, who have been given compliments as a way of breaking off a relationship, who have ever been told they are only wanted as a friend. This is for the girls who have been led on by words and glances and touches, all of which were either only true for the moment or never real to begin with. This is for the girls who have allowed a guy into their head and heart, only to discover that he's just not looking to be tied down; this is for the girls who believe the excuses because it's easier to believe that it's not that they don't want you, it's that they don't want anyone. This is for the girls who have had their hearts broken and their hopes dashed by someone too cavalier to have cared in the first place; this is for the nights spent dissecting every word and syllable and inflection in his speech, for the nights when you've seen from across the room him leaning a little too close, or standing a little too near, or talking a little too softly for the girl he's with to be a random hookup. This is for the girls who have endured parties in his presence, finally having realized that it wasn't that he didn't want a relationship: it was that he didn't want you. I honor you for the night something terrible happened to him, and you sat there holding him, thinking that if you only comforted him just right, or said the right words, then perhaps he'd realize what it was that he already had. For the night you realized that it would never happen, and the sunrise you saw the next morning after failing to sleep. This is for the "I really like you, so let's still be friends" comment after you read more into a situation than he ever intended; this is for never realizing that when you choose friends, you seldom choose those which make you cry yourself to sleep. This is for the hugs you've received from your female friends, for the nights they've reassured you that you are beautiful and intelligent and amazing and loyal and truly worthy of a great guy; this is for the despair you all felt as you sat in the after all your tears, knowing that that night the only companionship you'd have was with a pillow and your teddy bear. This is for the girls who have been used and abused, who have endured what he was giving because at least he was giving something; this is for the stupidity of the times we've believed that something was better than nothing, though his something was nothing we'd have ever wanted. This is for the girls who have been satisfied with too little and who have learned never to expect anything more: for the girls who don't think that they deserve more, because they've been conditioned for so long to accept the scraps thrown to them by guys. This is what I don't understand. Men sit and question and whine that girls are only attracted to the mean guys, the guys who berate them and belittle them and don't appreciate them and don't want them; who use them for making out and think of little else than where their next conquest will be made. Men complain that they never meet nice girls, girls who are genuinely interested and compelling, who are intelligent and sweet and smart and beautiful; men despair that no good women want to share in their lives, that girls play mind games, that girls love to keep them hanging. Yet, men, I ask you: were you to meet one of these genuinely interested, thrillingly compelling, interesting and intelligent and sweet and beautiful and smart girls, were you to give her your number and wait for her to call... and if you were to receive a call from her the next day and she, in her truthful, loyal, intelligent and straightforward nice girl fashion, were to tell you that she finds you intriguing and attractive and interesting and worth her time and perhaps material from which she could fashion a boyfriend, would you or would you not immediately call your friends to tell them of the "stalker chick" you'd met the night prior, who called you and wore her heart on her sleeve and told the truth? And would you, or would you not, refuse to make plans with her, speak with her, see her again, and once again return to the bar or club or party scene and search once more for this "nice girl" who you just cannot seem to find? Because therein lies the truth, guys: we nice girls are everywhere. But you're not looking for a nice girl. You're not looking for someone genuinely interested in your intramural basketball game, or your anatomy midterm grade, or that argument you keep having with your father; you're looking for a quick fix, a night when you can pretend to have a connection with another human being which is just as disposable as the condom you were using during it. So don't say you're on the lookout for nice girls, guys, when you pass us up on every step you take. Sometimes we go undercover; sometimes we go in disguise: sometimes when that girl in the low cut shirt or the too tight miniskirt won't answer your catcalls, sometimes you're looking at a nice girl in *****'s clothing - - we might say we like the attention, we might blush and giggle and turn back to our friends, but we're all thinking the same thing: "This isn't me. Tomorrow morning, I'll be wearing a tee-shirt and flannel shorts, I'll have slept alone and I'll be making my hung-over best friend breakfast. See through the disguise. See me." You never do. Why? Because you only see the exterior, you only see the slutty girl who welcomes those advances. You don't want the nice girl... so don't say you're looking for a relationship: relationships take time and energy and intent, three things we're willing to extend - - but in return, we're looking for compassion and loyalty and trust, three things you never seem willing to express. Maybe nice guys finish last, but in the race they're running they're chasing after the *****s and the sluts and the easy-targets... the nice girls are waiting at the finish line with water and towels and a congratulatory hug (and yes, if she's a nice girl and she likes you, the sweatiness probably won't matter), hoping against hope that maybe you'll realize that they're the ones that you want at the end of that silly race. So maybe it won't last forever. Maybe some of those guys in that race will turn in their running shoes and make their way to the concession stand where we're waiting; however, until that happens, we still have each other, that silly race to watch, and all the chocolate we can eat (because what's a concession stand at a race without some chocolate?)

I could run a mile right now! I just found out that my friend and I placed at the science fair and get to compete in the state one...I am so happy! We did our project on rust and which type of screws would resist rust the best. There were 90 project at the science fair today and only 12 get to go to WPI and out of those 12, five groups are freshman groups...pretty cool stuff.

2/25/2007

Sometimes I just want to get out of here. And especially out of high school. Bottom line...I wish that I could just grow up. High school stinks and don't let anyone tell you any different. Leominster is like the scum at the bottom of a bucket. We have no money in this town and our high school stinks...there is sludge leaking from the ceiling in C-Wing....I don't really feel like talking a lot about how much I want this year to be over but trust me...DON'T LOOK FORWARD TO HIGH SCHOOL!!!

2/20/2007

Vacation! I am definetly in need of one and luckily for me...this week I have one. I haven't really done anything this week though. I've gone to the gym a few times, talked to my friends, worked on a project but other than that...nothing. I don't have anything to write about either so there you have it!

YOUR NEXT CRUSH IS THE BOY NEXT DOOR Whoever said nice guys finish last was wrong! Whether he lives next door or across town, an honest and hunky hottie will win the heart of a sweet girl like you. You've got your eyes open for a good guy who's responsible and trustworthy. The kind who'll call when he says he will, make you mix CDs, take you out to the movies (and always offer to pay), and treat you like gold — as any guy should! Nice doesn't have to mean boring, after all. You and your crush will have loads of fun whether you're goofing around at the mall, tearing it up on the dance floor, renting a movie, or sharing a romantic walk.
I thought that that was pretty cool. The guy that I like is 100% like that...he is sweet and nice....totally the boy next door. We don't really know each other but everytime that we see each other in the hallway we have big smiles on our faces. It is really cute. My friend Lauren was walking withm me the other day when we walked by each other and she thought that it was adorable that we smile every time that we see each other even though we don't know each other. A bunch of us are gonna go bowling on Friday and someone was gonna invite him so that we could meet for real and get to know each other...I hope that it will turn into something but at this point we don't even know if our bowling plan is going to work but I sure hope that it does. He is really cute and everyone says that we would be super cute together... :] Ohh yeah! I forgot to add my horoscope for today...
You might find that a secret admirer is paying attention to you.
(There was more but it wasn't really relevant...)
I hope that everything works out...wish me luck! :]

Guys Stink

So there is this guy that I like at school. I don't think that he likes me back but you know...it happens. All my friends want me to go out with this kid that we use to go to school with (he switched schools when we went to highschool). I liked him for such a long time in the seventh grade and then kinda got over him. I love him as a friend but I don't really know if I will ever...I don't know....love him I guess. That is a strong word but it hurt me a lot when nothing happened in the 7th grade. I don't want to get hurt again. They all want us to go on a date Friday but I'm not sure if I can do it. This other guy that I like is just such a sweetheart but should I like the guy that doesn't like me back or the guy that I don't know if I can have feelings for again? Love sucks...

Mid-terms

I can't wait until the next two weeks are over. They are going to be hell. This week is study week. We have mid-terms next week which means that our teachers are going to cram in anything that they can and review all of the stuff that we have learned so far this year. We got out scheduals last week. Mine isn't too bad. On the 22nd, I have my Science mid-term (my science fair project). We have that block for 90 minutes and then we have an hour to study for our next test which would be Algebra...fun. I switched classes part way through the year so I don't know how well I am going to do on that one. After that test we are done for the day and get to go home. It is pretty nice. But they only let us out of school so we can study. Here's the rest of my schedual:
Monday
Science - 90 Minutes
Study/Lunch - 60 Minutes
Algebra - 90 Mintes
Tuesday
Health - 90 Minutes
Study/Lunch - 60 Minutes
History - 90 Minutes
Wednesday
No Tests
Thursday
French - 90 Minutes
Study/Lunch - 60 Minutes
English - 90 Minutes (This is def. going to be the hardest one...)
I'm sorry if I don't post for a few weeks but I am going to be swamped....

Nothing New

Today was kind of boring. We didn't get much done in school. The only think that we did was we started to read "Lord of the Flies" in English. Our notes aren't due until Tuesday though because we have silent reading on Monday...fun. Kim and I went to see Night at the Museum. I thought it was super cute. Meg, Nichole, and Dani couldn't go so it was just the two of us. We met up with Ashley adn Mason after the movie and chatted for a few minutes before my mom showed up. Well there is nothing more to talk about I guess...I think I am going to go to be eary because I didn't get much sleep this week and I have to catch up.

Flashback

It is so weird sometimes how things just kind of hit you. I realized today that I wish it was last year. It was so great last year in the eighth grade. No one cared if they had a boyfriend and everyone hung out with everyone else. Now people are emo and others are preppy but no one hangs out together. What's worse? Everyone has a boyfriend/girlfrend. I hate it. Everyone moved away to other states and we don't talk to them anymore, friendships were broken that we thought would last forever and everyone likes someone who doesn't like them back. I was thinking about the dance that we had at the end of the year...our Semi-Formal. The week before I asked this guy to go with me but another girl had asked him. I was bummed out but I moved on. My friends told me that he would have rather gone with me but Emily had asked him first. He knew that if he went with me then I would dance with him but Emily would dance with every other guy there. At the end of the dance, they hadn't danced together once while I had danced with a few other guys. The DJ said that it was going to be the last song of the night, Graduation by Vitamin C, and I walked over and asked him to dance. If I hadn't done that then I don't think that I would have realized how much I liked him. We just stood their rocking back and forth holding each other and it totally felt right. It was weird but I liked it. Then earlier this year, he asked out this girl Kendal. She was pretty and all but she was boring. I thought that if we had hung out more then he might have asked me out but whatever. So he asked her out at her volleyball game and that night, there was a party that we were all going to and he wanted to go so we made a few calls. He was invited but Kendal wasn't so I thought that it would be perfect. The party went great and by the end of the night we were in each others arms cuddling on Danielle's trampoline. It felt right then to but maybe it is just me and he doesn't feel the same way but I sure wish that he did.

Almost Vacation!!

I am so excited the tomorrow is our last day of school before school vacation. We aren't even doing anything. In Bio, we are going to watch a movie and have snacks just like in French and English. I don't know what we are going to do in our other classes but I am sure that it is going to be fun.

NYC and The Family

The NYC trip last weekend was amazing. There is nothing else like that city. It makes you feel so small with the amount of people and the height of the buildings. The first night that we were there we went to the Rocket's show which was really cool. When they dance, they are like robots and none of them miss a beat. Then we had a few hours to walk around so we checked out the tree at Rockafella Center and then we just walked around the city. When we drove into the city the second day, we went to Ground Zero which is really shocking. The whole where the Twin Towers are huge. It is so belittling to think that something that large can come down. The buildings that we around the area are still covered with debris and have ash spots on the front of them. It was hard not to cry. After we left there, we went to Time Square which is the coolest place that I have ever been. There are ads all over the place and I took really good pics which I am going to try to post later today or sometime this week. We had our family X-mas party at my aunt's house yesterday. It was pretty fun but it was kinda crazy. We don't have a huge family but he house isn't that big. I got some pretty cool gifts...a Hollister Gift Card, a Blockbuster card, a Michael's card, a shirt from American Eagle, a shirt from Aeropostale, and some other stuff. My cousin and I are gonna drive down to Soloman Pond Mall later this week so we can spend our Hollister Cards. I will try to post more often but mid-terms are comming up fast and our teachers and trying to get in that last minute stuff so that they can make them harder. : )

Damn It!

Don't you hate it when people screw you over. Well guess what happened to me today?? The kid that I liked found out that I liked him and then I came home and now my friend is going out with him. Talk about someone screwing you over!!! Well I am going to go call her....
-Nicole

Sorry!

School has been so crazy these last few weeks that I haven't had time to update. My birthday was awesome! I got a hot pink digital camera and two cashmere scarfs. I am going to go to NYC this weekend with my mom to see the Rocket's show which I am super excited about. I have had four projects to do in the last week. I had to work on this Golgi Body project with partners that didn't do anything....I made everything. Then the Algebra Business proposal that we had to do was crazy. The day before we had to present, every group had to pick a number and I went up to pick the number for our group. My teacher had like a bunch of cards in her hand and I had my hand on the one that said "3" (I could see it through the card) and I was thinking to myself "I would rather see someone else go before me so I will pick a different card"...that was where the stupid side of me came in. I picked number one. That's right. There was no one that wanted to trade with us but why would they? Everyone said that we did really good on the project so I am happy that we got it over with. I have so much homework that I have to do but I will try to update again tomorrow!

Gosh Darn It!

I am so bummed out...I can't have my birthday party on Sunday because all of my friends have to go to this retreat for CCD...not fair! Why can't it be on any other day than my birthday. Now I have to wait until JANUARY!!! That is such a long time from now...gosh darn it!

Blah...

The last few days have been boring so I have been waiting for something amazing to happen so that I could post about it but seeing as that hasn't happened...I will just talk about nothing. The weekend was pretty boring. Saturday I ran errands with my dad and Sunday we went to the flea market...I have never seen so many hillbillies in one place! I am so pumped that my birthday is only 6 days away!!! I was going to go rock climbing with my friend Gabby and then invite Mike C. and Dan G. because you have to have someone belay the rope while you are climbing...I wish my b-day was today. Well there isn't much else to write about... : )
-Nicole
P.S - We just started a Christmas Carol in English class...how much fun!...not :)

11/24/2006

The Showdown....

The football game was amazing...one of the best that I have ever been too. The game started off and went 2 quaters without anyone scoring. Then in the second half, this kid John Hernandez (who is a beast and it basically unstoppable) scored three touchdowns! The other two were scored by Danny Creed and I don't remember the other kids name but it was great. Fitchburg had no points and there were only seconds left on the clock so I figured that we would be able to keep them at zero....no. With eleven seconds left on the clock this kid barrels through our defensive line and tears down the field and gets a touchdown. It was okay though because we had 34 points and they only had 6. When I woke up, I was excited because the weatherman had said that it was going to rain/pour for the game but there was no a drop of water falling at 8:30. We got to the game and almost got through half time before the rain started to fall. It was cold, rainy, and windy. During half time, it started to pour which made it colder. I was standing up on the bleachers complaining about my feet being cold so Mike sat down on my feet to keep them warm. Then he asked if my hands were cold (I gave my gloves to Dahianna) and of course I said yes so he put my hands in the sleeve of this sweatshirt and made them warm...what a sweetheart. After the game my family came back here. We had turkey with my mom in her apartment and we had ham with my dad up here. Then we watched this Robin Williams DVD and I was super tired so I went to be at 8:45. I have to go get ready...Nichole comming over to work on the Science Fair project....the packet that we have to fill out is ridiculious...it is 15 pages!!!
-Nicole

11/19/2006

Blah

The last few days have been uneventful...I only have two half days of school this week and then we are off for Turkey Break. Then my bro and I are going to the St. Bernards Thanksgiving Game (not on Turkey Day though...the day before) and then the high school that I go to has a game on Thursday. I heard on the radio the other day that the rivalry between my school and Fitchburg high was the oldest in the start which is pretty cool. So that is pretty much my week. If I don't post before Thursday then Happy Thanksgiving!

The Party...

It was pretty fun...it wasn't much of a party. Cassie had Danielle, Meg, Nichole R., Ashley, Kendal and me over...oh yeah...and Mike was there. We ended up watching Armageddom...I cried at the end of the movie. It is so weird. I have seen that movie about a million times and this is the first time that I cried. I am super tired...and I don't feel good...I had Twix bar (which I had never tried before) and I loved it so I ate about a million and one...so I have a tummy ache. Good thing tomorrow is Saturday! Good Night!
-Nicole

Party!

Tonight we are gonna party like it is 1970!...No I am just kidding. We are going to have a movie night at Cassie's house. It really doesn't matter what we are doing at Cassie's because we always have so much fun! I have no idea what movies we are watching but K and M (initials) broke up and I bet that a bunch of girls are gonna make moves on M because he is a sweetheart but that I so last year! Well I have to go get ready!
-Nicole

11/16/2006

Yay!

My contacts finally came in so I can stop wearing my hideous glasses that I hate! I ripped the left one on Monday and I didn't have a spare pair so my mom ordered me some and I was stuck wearing my glasses to school for four days! It was awful! Well my room is really, really, really, dirty so I am going to go clean it because it is starting to bother me....that's where the OCD comes in...lol
-Nicole

What time is it?!?

My dad's watch broke yesterday so he found an old one that had just kinda slowed down and wore it all yesterday but he forgot to set it back for Day Lights Savings time so this morning, instead of waking me up at 6 o'clock, he woke me up at 5 o'clock so I am up now. I am stressing out because our teachers at school want to get all of our tests and quizzes in before the Thanksgiving break which means that I have 3 quizzes today and then another 3 tomorrow and a test on Romeo and Juliet in English. Well I better go study seeing as I wasn't planning on waking up at 5... :)

Same As Yesterday

We didn't do anything new today. I am so excited...next week, we only have 2 half days of school. Monday is going to be awful because we have Algebra, History, and English but then Tuesday we go to Health and French and then we get to go to the Pep Rally for the Turkey Day Game...the sophmores told me that it is super fun. There's nothing else really to write....bye!

Chinese Food

I just got home from school and guess what I am eating...Chinese food! It is left over from last night but it is still chinese food. School was fine today...Bio was a piece of cake and in Algebra we got a project. History was just notes and in English we watched Romeo and Juliet...the one with Leonardo DeCaprio...gosh he is cute in that movie. It is weird to watch though. It is set in modern times (the 90's) but they are still speaking in Olde English so the whole movie is weird but is really good...we are almost near the end and I am probably going to cry when they both die...what a depressing ending to a story, but I'll get through it. I watched Rent a billion times and only cried the first four times. I love that movie...My friends Gabby and Kimmy went with me the day it came out and we all forgot to take off our mascara and eyeliner before we went so when we were walking out of the movie our makeup was running and we look like hell...It was a really, really good movie though. Well I have a stupid history project that I havent to finish for tomorrow...yuck!

School

Today was not that bad. We got report cards today and it was an advisory day (everyone in the school has a classroom that they go to on Mondays and Fridays where they can get homework done or just hang out) so we had wicked short classes. Bio was easy. Just notes on cells and how the were discovered; all that good stuff. Algebra sucked...like always and then Health was easy...we just watched a movie the whole class. We didn't have fourth period because it was duh...a day four and then we had French. What a class. We didn't do anything nor have we since the beginning of the year. English was super short because we got out 20 minutes early to get report cards...I did okay. I have a GPA of 3.1 which isn't exactly what I wanted but a stupid C+ in English brought me down but I am definetly going to bring that up this term...a C isn't going to get me into Med School!. Well I have to go do my homework because I have lovely CCD tonight but we don't have it next week...thank God...so I am just going to get it over with.
-Nicole
P.S. - I will post the grades later...

Nothing Really

Nothing exciting has really happened in the last few days so I decided to wait to write anything. On Friday, I had to babysit my cousin Joey who was a handful but I got some money for doing it...I had to miss Cassie's party though. I haven't been to any of the fun parties this year other than Danielle's party where everyone was out of the trampoline cuddling because it was cold but we didn't want to go inside. I was cuddling with Mike and it was so cute because that was when I liked him but that is so last month. Today I kinda yucky out but it's not like I have anything to do today...no one goes out on Fridays. I have a ton of homework to do today and I have to make a Romeo and Juliet comic strip...how origanial...but I guess I should go get started.

Just Another Day

Today was the same as any other day that I go to school. Up at 6 and then at the bus stop by 7. Lunch at 12:05 and then home by 2:45. We didn't do anything in school today...we only have one more day of school this week so why bother. At least we finished Romeo and Juliet...that is the longest play that I never want to read again...I'll rent the movie next time. Well, sorry that I haven't written much but I have to go take a shower...I just walked 5 blocks in the rain from my bus stop...I'll write back later!

A Day Off...Yeah Right

So I thought that since it was a day off I would be able to sleep in, make a big yummy breakfast, hang out and knit all day. Yeah right. My brother woke me up at 2:30 this morning and I couldn't fall back to sleep. Then I woke up to make French toast...My specialty...but there was no bread....who doesn't have bread in their house? Then my brother and his little trolls that he calls friends were over and I had to listen to them scream and run up and down the stair...(they are all 14). Then I ran out of yarn. I am in the middle of a cute pull over with cables and run out of yarn! I havne't started my homework that I have to finish before tomorrow. Reading Romeo and Juliet is really what I want to do on my day off. To top that off, I have a test tomorrow on the whole book and I have Bio too with the devil teacher. At least "cute locker kid" will be around me all day...guy are definetly...how do you say...awesome! There is no football game this week...I hate when they do that...they have four home football games in a week and then go and make six games away and then our next home game is the Turkey Bowl. That game is going to be sooooo cold. I hate when it is right between fall and winter. One day it is mildy cool and then the next day it is 36 degrees out and you are out at the bus stop wearing flip flops becuase you don't have enough time to walk back to you house. Well I better go get that reading done.
-Nicole
P.S. - Je ne veux pas aller l'ecole a demain!

11/06/2006

Oodles of Fun

I just came from CCD...how much more fun can you have? I have no school tomorrow so I get to sleep in....Je ne veuz pas aller l'ecole mercredi....don't you just wish you could speak French like moi? Just kidding. Well RAW is on in a few minutes so I guess I am gonna go watch that... :)
-Nicole
We only have three days of school this week. How cool is that? Today we didn't do much. Systems of inversions in Algebra, nothing in Health, the Boston Massacre in History, we spoke some French in French (big suprise) then we read a little Romeo and Juliet in English class. I love how most people think that that book is really boring. I find it romantic...two people dying because they both love each other that much...every girl wishes that she had a guy that would do that for her...I know I do. We are almost done reading the book and only have one more scene left. We were going to act it out in class today but we ran out of time because we had advisory. I hate that block. All we do is sit in a classroom and do nothing. At least Ashley, Grace and Emily are in my class. Other than them there is no one that I would hang out with...not to be mean or anything but our class (other than us four) is made up of the people that don't really have lives. I don't think that I have seen any of them ever at a football game or the movies. I am going to stop being mean now. I can't wait until Thanksgiving. It is gonna be the first time in two years that I have acctually had turkey with the rest of my family. Last year I had manacotti and they year before that I had raviolois...I was a vegitarian for those of you who don't know me. I stopped eating meat after my 7th grade Bio teacher told us about tape worms and parasites that live in meat...eww...then she went on to tell us that in to old days (1700's) if a person had a tape worm in them, they would starve the person and then hold a piece of raw meat above their mouth. Because the worm hadn't had anything to eat in days, he would crawl through the person's digestive system, up their esophogus and out their mouth. Doesn't that just want to make you hurl? Well I have CCD in a few hours so I am gonna go get my homework started...fun!

Just Like I Said

I had to rake leaves today for almost the whole day. I got a hair cut this morning but it was only the ends...they were dead. Tomorrow I have to rake more leaves and do homework which is going to stink. And I am trying to add music to my blog...either Cartel or Fall Out Boy.

The Honor's classes are great. They aren't that much harder than my regular classes and I know way more people in them too. Unfortunetly, there was no football game this week and no one wanted to go to the movies so I stayed home and watch Hannah Montana...I know...dorky. Tomorrow I have to do some chores because my cell phone bill from last month was $40 more than it should have been because of ringtones so I have to pay my dad back...yuck. Probably raking leaves, doing the dishes...all the things that I hate to do...and cleaning my room to.

HELP!

My school is losing! Our local radio station is doing a contest and we have a big radio DJ come to our Turkey Day game but no one is voting. For people who read this (if there are any) could you do me a favor? Go to http://www.jamn945.com/pages/Ramiro.html and then go down to where it says Jammin' High School or something like that. Then vote for LEOMINSTER HIGH SCHOOL. Thanx!

So Busy!

Yet again, I feel like I can never stop. Yesterday I had to make a 6 page study guide for a huge History test that I have tomorrow and today I have to make a huge one for a Biology test that I have on Friday. Then, my Algebra teacher wants to put me in Honors Algebra which means that I have to take Honors History too. I have to learn about a billion things so that I will be up to speed with the people that are already in that class. It is so crazy! At least we only have three days of school next week. It will give me some time to catch up on the things that I need to learn. Today was my brother's birthday and we haven't given him any presents and I think it is driving him crazy. He has been looking around the house since he has been home. I think that he is going Trick - or - Treating. I wish that I could this year but I just have too much on my plate already. High school is way crazier that I thought that it was going to be! Well I better go eat so I can start that study guide that I have to do! I'll probably write back later...

Gosh Darn It!

Uhh...I am trying to put an awesome picture for my profile thing and it's not working! I have decided that I hate computers. They are so stupid...today my computer upstairs crashed and won't even turn on now so my dad has to replace the hardrive which he can't do till next weekend so my brother and I are stuck sharing a computer for a whole week. Ooh! On the other hand, I took a picture of my lovely purple Uggs for you all to see! They are pretty awesome aren't they? I wore them too the football game and along with three long sleeve shirt, Under Armor and a sweatershirt, I was reletivly warm. Looking at this picture...my room looks pretty messy. I guess I should clean it this week. We have a rule in my house that if my room isn't clean by Wednesday every week then I can't go out on Friday. I hate that rule. My room is never clean by Wednesday so I have to sweet talk my dad into letting me go to the movies or the football games. The last couple of weeks he hasn't cared because I had people comming over before the games so it's not like he is going to make me call them and cancel right before the game. I finally finished my French project and now I don't think that it is due tomorrow. I am sick of writing "J'ai" and "Je suis". I will show you what I had to do:
Moi (Me)
Je m'appelle Nicole. J'ai quatorze ans. Je suis née à Worcester. Je suis née le 3 decembre 1991. J'habite à Leominster dupuis quatorze ans. Je suis blonde et jeune. Je suis trés polie et assez sympa. En été, je joue lacrosse et au basket. En hiver, je vais snowboarding et joue piano. Aprés le lysée, je vais l'universite.
In English:
Me
My name is Nicole. I am 14 years old. I was born in Worcester. I was born on December 3rd, 1991. I have lived in Leominster for 14 years. I am blond and young. I am very poliet and rather nice. In spring, I play lacrosse and basketball. In winter, I go snowboarding and play piano. After high school, I want to go to college.
Now how much fun does that sound like...it is so boring! I am finished though so at least I don't have to speak anymore French until tomorrow. My picture thing still isn't working. It is being stupid and I hate stupid things. Well I guess I have nothing more to say!

Friday Night Lights and Chicken Noodle Soup

It has been a few days since I have posted so I'll have to catch up. The football game was fun. Our team was kicking butt before the game even started! We beat Brockton 28-15. It was the first time that we have beat them in a super long time so when we won everyone rushed the field. Some big guy stepped on my foot and practically broke my toes (not reall). It hurt so bad. Then yesterday I had to go to my cousin Joey's 3rd birthday party but the weather was awful so everyone was inside. Since it was so rainy and windy, we couldn't use the grill. My aunt made the most delicious Frico that I have ever had. (Frico is the canadien stew with chicken, potatoes, carrots and other good stuff.) Then when I got home, my dad had made chicken soup so I had some of that too. I don't think I will be having chicken stew/soup for quite a long time. I have to go do a French Project. J'ai trés fatigue! (I'm very tired!)

Tomorrow is Friday!

Sorry that I didn't post yesterday. Everytime that I tried to get online the Blogger thing said that it would only be down for an hour but they I would go to log on again and I still wouldn't be able to get on. School was okay today but tomorrow is Friday and we have a football game to go to. I hope that I won't freeze this time. I bought some UnderArmor the other day (along with a cute pair of "shoes that look like Uggs but aren't" that are purple...you heard me...). It is still probably gonna be cold. Everyone is comming over again before the game, like they always do, and I am so pumped. Last week we were all just hanging out and then Kim decided to get up and dance so of course we all had to follow...we are such dorks. On Saturday I have to go to my cousin's birthday. He is turing three and he is the cutest thing ever! Everyone that sees him just wants to give him a big kiss on the cheek. Homework stinks but I have a ton to do so I should get started because we are going out to dinner after. I have to write a Shakespearean sonnet. Sounds like fun right? Not!

The Best Sleepover Ever!

I slept over Ashley's house last night and it was the most fun that I have had in a long time. Her family is wicked close with a lot of other families that went to Sky View with us last year and they invited over the Carons, the Gaughans, and the Dewhursts. There were so many people at her house. Ashley's family already has four people, the Caron's have five, the Dewhursts have six and I was there....that's sixteen people in one house at one time. After we wated Alex make a fool of himself again, all the kids decided to go in the hot tub. It was so much fun. Ashley and I were hanging with all the guys who are so cool. After a little while in the hot tub, all the parents wanted to get in so Ashley, Mike, Dan, Jack, and me went inside to hang out and we all grabbed out IPods and we listened to each other's music which was fun. Then Dan wanted to play chess so I played him but after a while Mike got bored so he decided to ruin the game whichwas okay with me because I was bored. Then we danced because we had nothing better to do. From inside the house, we could hear the parents getting out of the hot tub so we all ran downstairs to the basement and when Ashley's dad found us he thought that we had been playing spin the bottle which we totally weren't (although it would have been fun). Then the guys left at 12:30 and Ashley and I went up to her room and talked about everything under the sun and then we went to bed finally at 3:30 this morning and then woke up at 10. I can't wait till she has another one because she said that I was going to come to everyone.

They Are So Fun!

I love my friends. They are like the only ones that can make me laugh so hard that my stomach hurts...that is exactly what happened yesterday. Kim, Gabby, Ashley and me were hanging out yesterday before the game and we had so much fun. Ashley was the first on over and because we are so cool, we were dancing in my room to Hannah Montana. Then we check out some websites online and we laughing so hard when we found out that Mitchel Musso is having a "win-a-date" contest and Ashley and I decided that we were gonna enter becuase we both think that he is super cute. Then Kim and Gabby go to my house and we danced in my room for a little longer then they were all yelling at me when I was putting my contacts in. We left a little after to go to the football game which was fun but it was so cold. The tempurature at game time was on 54 degrees, way to cold to be standing out in the wind for four quarters and a twenty minute half time. Marcus is funny...not. He heard about this kid that I thought was cute but he didn't know who he was so when the kid got to the game I pointed him out but I forgot how Marcus was and I had to watch him all night to make sure that he didn't say anything to "cute locker kid" as he is know with Amy and me. Even though it was cold it was still a fun night even though I don't know who won becuase Ashley adn Amy wanted to leave at the end of the 3rd. Well I have to go and eat breakfast. Ashley and I are hanging out later because she wants to make sure that I don't like Mike any more so she is inviting him over her house and we are gonna hang out and watch the Matrix...the best movie ever! I'll write back when I get home from Ashley's house.

Almost the End of the Week!

I can't wait until tomorrow....IT'S FRIDAY! J'ai sommeil! (That means "I'm tired" for all you non French speaking people) There's even another football game, that's three weeks in a row that we have had home games. I can't wait till the Turkey Bowl. It is gonna be such a big game this year. All the Freshman that are at LHS are pumped becuase they have a big pep rally and we have never been to one because they don't have then in middle school. Today was pretty uneventful. We had to watch part of the movie "Romeo and Juliet" which was okay but it wasn't the one with Leonardo DeCaprio which is that one that we get to watch when we finish the book. I was so happy last night...lol his is going to sound really stupid but my dad made brussel sprouts. They were so yummy. He makes them with brown sugar and maple syrup...they are definetly my favorite thing to eat. Well, I gott go take out my contacts! Fun, fun, fun!

Always in a Rush

I seem like life never slows down, not even for a minute. I just got home from school, have to go eat put in my contacts and then go to the eye doctor's office. I am just so tired already that I want to go to bed and sleep for two days. We had a walk day in school today and Mr. Cleave's wouldn't let Jen and I go to the bathroom so we kinda skipped part of the class but we didn't get in trouble...what he doesn't know won't hurt him. I have to go make a grilled cheese so I can go eat before I get some guy poking at my eye for an hour. I'll write back later if there is anything exciting.

Football...Yet Again

The football game was pretty boring. Ashley, Ashton, Amy, Dahinana, Mike and me just sat there the whole time and it was pretty boring. There was nothing to do, other than to watch the game but we never watch the game when we go...we just hang out. It is so much fun to hang out with them. The only one that I see all the time is Ashley but it is still fun to hang out with her. I finally got my contacts in after about a million tries and my left eye was on accident. We went to McDee's after the game which was super yummy...I mean who doesn't like I nice greasy burger...just kidding. We were joking around the whole time. Then Mike wanted to know why Francesca and I were fighting over the summer but I couldn't tell him because it was kinda about him. He still wants to know so I guess I am gonna have to tell him sooner or later and I would rather it be sooner. I would like to get it over with. I just don't want him to make a big deal about it because he has a girlfriend now and I don't want her to find out that I still like him because we don't get along as it is. I have to go to CCD so I'll write back tomorrow.
-Nicole

School...Yet Again

I went to school today. Just like I do everyday. Classes were more boring than usual and we didn't get anything done which is okay with me...we have no homework either. I love going to lunch. It is so much fun but it is sometimes annoying too. We have to cram like 14 people into a tabel that was made for eight. We are all doubled up in the chairs and our food is spread all over the table but we get to hang out with all our friends (and talk about all the hot guys that we see during the day) which is fun. I wish that it is a longer block though. We only have a 23 minute lunch and by the time you find a seat and get your food it is time to go. I have to go to another football game, this time the Freshman game, with Kim so she can tell me how much fun she had when she was in NYC. I can't wait till December when I get to so see the Rockette's as part of my birthday present. Well I have to go put my contacts in so Kim can see me without my glasses.

A Day of Fun

I slept over Meg's last night so we could watch Alex's show. He was really funny. Right at the beginning he fell into this like area of water and Meg and I were dying. It was the funniest thing that I have ever seen. Meg slept wicked late this morning. I woke up at about 7:30 and she woke up at 11. I just sat there and waited...and waited. Then her mom made us so French Toast PB&J. It was super yummy. It is like French Toast but with peanut butter and jelly...super good. Meg and I went to the mall after watching TV for a little while and she and I have super different styles. Everything that I liked was a bright color and Meg picked things that were gray, brown and she bought a white scarf that I talked her into. It just looked so cute on her. Then her mom picked us up from the mall and we went apple picking but there were no apples because it has been like really cold at night so they all fell off. We ended up buying some from the little store that they have at the orchard. Then Meg brought me home and I played piano for a little while. Then at 7 I watch Hannah Montana and here I am now. Lauren is yelling about a certain someone which is fine with me so I am gonna go talk to her.

Fun!

It was so late by the time I got home last night that I didn't even bother to write here. We won the football game 14-6 but no one was really watching anyways. Amy and I were looking for "locker kid" because she thinks that he is cute (he's called locker kid because his locker it next to mine). I use to think that he was cute too until I saw this sophmore that is adorable and he is even friends with my friend's brother which is awesome. So I hung out with Amy most of the night. Then I heard that Cassie was there so I went over to see her. I hardly ever get to see her anymore at school. Last year I ate lunch with her and she was in all my classes. I had Meg come over and she was trying to help me put in my contacts before the game but I do it completely different than she does. I stood up and like after two tries, I got it in. Then Meg said she had to go to the bathroom so I sat down at the table looked up and popped it in like that...everyone at the game said that I looked so different. Then I got home and my mom took out my contacts...I haven't mastered that yet and then I went to bed...I was so tired. Today I am suppose to rake leaves for my dad because I was a little short on cash last night so he lent me some to bring to the game. Then Meg and I are gonna hang out on her house and watch Hannah Montana and then Endurance. Our friend Alex was on that show and he kicked butt so almost every freshman at LHS is gonna check it out tonight. I'll write later about if it was good or not.

Football

I am so pumped. We got a football game tonight we were are of course going to win because we have a kiss ass team. A ton of people are comming over my house so we can get decked out in our blue and white so we can show some love for our team. And of course hang out and eat KCF....our traditional pre-game feast. It is gonna be so much fun and to top it off, I am gonna wear my contacts and it will be the first time that most of my friends see me without my glasses. Meg has to come over my house after her game to help me put them in though...I'm still not very good at that but everyone says that it gets easier. Well I gotta go do all my fun stuff before the game and I'm probably gonna go play some lacrosse catch with my brother...I'll write back after we kick so butt at the game!

Yuck!

I feel awful! I went to school today feeling fine and now I feel like I am gonna die. My stomach hurt, I have a headache, my throat hurts, I am so tired...I think I have to go to the doctor's office. I am freaking out because people at school have mono and I don't want to get it because you have it forever. You can't get rid of it! I guess that someone on the football team had it and they only have six water bottles that they all drink out of and my friend Marcus play Freshman football. Then on a field trip last Friday, Francesca and Marcus madeout and I think he got it from the football guys and then gave it to Francesca who gave it to Brianna (I don't know how) and maybe gave it to me...Brianna said that she had all the same symptoms that I had...this STINKS! I am gonna have my dad call the doctor so I can get tested but I think that involves needles which I am deathly afraid of and I never ever, ever want to be poked with one of those suckers. Plus, I have to have my doctor check my hand. A couple of the guys and I were playing lacrosse a few weeks ago and I had the ball in my net so a kid came up and hit my stick but his stick slipped down the shaft of my stick and hit my right hand on the knuckle of my pointer finger. This was like 3 weeks ago. It still hurts. Well, I have a ton of homework to do....summary on recycling for Bio, read Romeo and Juliet for English...all the good stuff like that.

I Forgot!

I got my contacts. I talking so much about school in my last post that I forgot. I am so chicken to put them in to and I am wicked scared to wear them to school because I look so different when I don't have my "cute" as everyone says glasses on. It's not that I hate my glasses but they are so annoying. Plus, after I turn 16, I get to start driving and who wants to wear glasses when they are driving? Okay, I have to go finish my homework but I thought that I should post that before I forgot again.
-Nicole

Wow!

It has been such a long time since I have posted. I guess I have been busy with school and all that good stuff. My freshman teachers are all awul. Bio was like my favorite class at the beginning of the year then my teacher became the devil and decided to correct our lab books without tell us in advance so we all did bad. I got a 71 which drops my A+ to a B-. Thats how bad it was. My history teacher is just not even from this planet. There is no other way that I could describe her. My Health teacher makes us count the calories in food and then doesn't give it to us. Algebra is easy...they put me in the wrong class so I am passing with flying colors. French 2 is easy too. We are in our 6th week of school and still reviewing French 1 stuff. My English teacher is pretty cool. He is my favorite teacher and there is next to nothing to say about him although he is making us read Romeo and Juliet which is gonna be hell. Lunch is definetly my favorite time of the day. They have the best hot dogs...they are to die for and Thursday is pasta day but I am afraid to get it because I've heard of some of the things they put in their sauce. It is so cool to be in high school. I thought that it was gonna be the same as middle school but it is the complete opposite. There are so many more people and you get pushed around when you are in the hallways. Every corner that you turn is another couple making out which can make you want to hurl. It is awesome to meet new people. I have been in class with the same hundred kids since the sixth grade so it is cool to meet people from the other middle schools. Most of them have changed a lot though. Most of the people that I was friends with in the 6th grade are so different and we hardly ever talk...unless they are in my Algebra class and want answers. Even over the summer, people changed. Some people who were sweethearts last year are the meanest (and least dressed) people this year. Football games are so much fun. I never liked football until I was in high school and now I like live for football. It is just so festive and you see everyone with the school colors on and getting decked out just to cheer our boys on. They are kicking butt so far but I can't wait until the Turkey Bowl Game. We are probably just going to kill Fitchburg like we do every year but it is just so entertaining to see people making fools of themselves. I love the Blue Devil. The senior class picks a guy to be the Blue Devil and he like starts all the cheers and stuff like that. At the last game he started the L-E-O-M-I-N-S -T-E-R thing and then he went to do it again, got to oh and then said O shit I lost it. My friend Meg and I were talking about it all night. That game was pretty boring and it is sad because it was our homecomming game but the school made a student entrace becuase a ton of people got drunk at the first game which is so gross. I heard that they want to build another middle school. We already have three in Leominster which isn't that big of a town...only about 40,000 people and most of them are old. My graduating class in high school is going to have about 520 kids in it. That is nothing compared to my friend Martha's 1,000 people in her graduating class...but she lives in Worcester so that is expected. They have so many more people there. I sometimes wished that I lived in a bigger city like NYC or some place in California or big, ole Texas. On the first day of school someone asked me if I was from Texas because I don't talk a mile a minute like most of the other girls at my school. I hear them talking in the hallways and I try to catch some of the converstation but they talk to fast! I guess with only 6 minutes to get from class to class you need to talk fast. Well I have to go do some French homework but I'll write back the next time that I have a chance.
